Request Subject: Prayer for Kain
Prayer Request:
Lord, we praise you for all your blessings and point all glory to You. We come to you today with a prayer of protection and guidance as we journey with Kain, a young man brought to our doors last Friday in need of food, shelter, life skills and community. Lord thank you for building up this church body to be responsive to the needs of our community, especially the poor, marginalized and homeless. Lord thank you for moving the hearts of our congregants to grow a Community Assistance offering that has provided Kain a safe and clean motel room since Friday. We pray that today you be with Kain and the Hillcrest representative as they meet to determine if Kain is a fit for the Hillcrest Young Adult Transitional Housing Program. Lord, thank you for building up this body, for preparing us for compassion and love and for being with all of us as we walk the path you have set before us. In your name we pray. Amen.
